Amazon Web Services (AWS) has pledged a minimum investment of $5 billion in South Korea by 2031 to develop new artificial‑intelligence data centres, according to a statement from the South Korean presidential office. The announcement came during a meeting between AWS CEO Matt Garman and President Lee Jae‑myung on the sidelines of the APEC Summit in Gyeongju.
