Swedish wellness company Zinzino AB (publ.) has announced that it has acquired a 35 % share of Andorra‑based Xion International Group as a strategic step toward launching a joint venture in high‑tech algae production. The deal is valued at €1.2 million—€0.7 million in cash and €0.5 million in newly issued Zinzino B shares. Xion holds patented photobioreactor technology in Spain for cultivating spirulina and other microalgae; Zinzino will own 55 % of the upcoming venture, named “PhytoFerm”, which targets sustainable omega‑3 oil production to secure raw material supply for its flagship BalanceOil+ supplement.
