Wizz Air Holdings PLC announced a significant increase in December passenger traffic, carrying 5.85 million travelers, representing a 15.5% year‑on‑year rise, as it continued its fleet and network expansion. However, this growth came alongside operational headwinds, with load factors slightly falling to 85.9%, reflecting pressure on yields as capacity increased by 16.3% during the winter season. Analysts at Panmure Liberum maintained a ‘sell’ rating with a 950p target, noting that while the figures align with guidance, they fail to reassure on margin improvement. Capacity remains marginally higher than demand. In contrast, Peel Hunt reiterated a ‘hold’ stance and a 1,150p price target, highlighting expansion at key bases including Luton, Rome, Tirana, and Warsaw, plus new route developments in Romania and Poland. The broker also pointed to stronger corporate travel distribution and Wizz Air’s strong performance under the EU’s NIS2 cybersecurity framework, scoring 97% in a pre‑audit. Nonetheless, persistent high leverage and execution risks temper optimism. Shares were unchanged at 1,303p. #WizzAir #AviationGrowth #AirlineIndustry #TravelTrends #SlimScan #GrowthStocks #CANSLIM
