Mineral explorer Amaroq Ltd. has announced a major upgrade to its “West Greenland Hub” after re‑assaying bulk samples from the historic Black Angel mine (Greenland) deposit. Results confirmed exceptionally high grades of zinc (24.6 %), lead (28.1 %) and silver (295 g/t) alongside newly identified concentrations of strategic critical minerals: germanium (44 ppm), gallium (21 ppm) and cadmium (1,328 ppm).
Under preliminary assumptions the company estimates future concentrate grades of ~102 ppm Ge, ~48.5 ppm Ga and ~3,040 ppm Cd may be achievable.
All conditions precedent have now been fulfilled for the acquisition of Black Angel, positioning the West Greenland Hub as Amaroq’s next major mining development project. The company plans to advance the asset leveraging existing infrastructure, targeting a 2026 field season and early‐stage mine studies.
Amaroq emphasises that germanium and gallium—both listed as critical minerals by US and EU authorities—are especially strategic amid global supply constraints dominated by China.
