In a strategic move unveiled Nov. 18 2025, Vertiv Holdings Co (NYSE: VRT) and Caterpillar Inc. (NYSE: CAT) signed a memorandum of understanding to deliver integrated, end‑to‑end energy solutions for AI data centres. The two companies will combine Vertiv’s power distribution and cooling portfolio with Caterpillar’s and its subsidiary Solar Turbines Incorporated’ expertise in power generation and combined cooling, heat and power (CCHP) systems. The goal: modular, pre‑designed architectures that accelerate deployment, reduce reliance on the grid and improve energy efficiency (lower PUE). Key benefits for customers include faster time‑to‑power through standardized building blocks, improved PUE and carbon footprint thanks to optimized, integrated power‑to‑cooling performance, and global lifecycle support from both firms. According to Vertiv CEO Gio Albertazzi, the collaboration is central to their “Bring Your Own Power & Cooling (BYOP&C)” strategy and aligns with their “grid‑to‑chip” framework. Caterpillar’s group president of Power & Energy, Jason Kaiser, noted that surging AI workloads make robust, scalable infrastructure indispensable and this partnership helps meet those evolving needs. As data‑centre operators seek greater autonomy and sustainability, this alliance positions both companies to provide end‑to‑end, validated, modular energy infrastructure options tailored for AI‑driven deployments. #dataCenters #energyOptimization #AIinfrastructure #VertivCaterpillar #SlimScan #GrowthStocks #CANSLIM
