As the holiday season approaches, The Salvation Army and Walmart Inc. are renewing their partnership to support families facing hardship across the country. Walmart will match customer contributions in two major ways: through the Holiday Meal Donation program, up to $500,000, and via online/app Round‑Up donations between December 2 and December 24, up to $1 million. Commissioner Merle Heatwole, National Commander of The Salvation Army, emphasised the rising demand for food, shelter and aid, saying: “Thanks to Walmart and its customers, we'll be able to provide meals, housing assistance and critical resources for those who otherwise might go without this holiday season.” The programme also revives in‑store traditions: the iconic Red Kettle campaign (Nov 15–Dec 24), Angel Tree gift selections (Nov 15–Dec 15) and the online registry (Oct 14–Dec 15), ensuring local Salvation Army units distribute toys, meals and essential services to children and families in need. Together, The Salvation Army and Walmart—partners for over 40 years—aim to amplify the impact of donor generosity and make the season brighter for millions nationwide. #HolidayGiving #CommunitySupport #WalmartPartner #SalvationArmyHope #SlimScan #GrowthStocks #CANSLIM
