Seagate Technology PLC is rolling out high‑capacity 32TB hard disk drives (HDDs) across its product lines to address the surging demand for storage driven by AI‑powered video analytics and large data workloads. The new drives — available in the Exos, SkyHawk AI, and IronWolf Pro series — will be showcased at Intersec 2026 in Dubai and shipped to channel and retail partners globally starting January 14, 2026. These 32TB drives are designed to support “edge‑to‑cloud” deployments, enabling enterprises to capture and manage massive volumes of video data, including AI‑generated annotations and metadata that significantly increase storage requirements. Industry research shows more than 75 % of organizations expect their video data to at least double in the next five years. Seagate’s SkyHawk AI drives target AI‑enabled network video recording and surveillance applications, Exos drives are aimed at enterprise and cloud data centers, and IronWolf Pro models are optimized for continuous network‑attached storage workloads.
