Swiss food giant NestlÃĐ announced on January 6, 2026 that it is voluntarily recalling specific batches of its SMA infant formula and follow‑on formula amid concerns that they may contain a heat‑resistant toxin called cereulide. The company and the UK’s Food Standards Agency (FSA) published a list of affected batch numbers for products that should not be consumed, urging parents and caregivers to check their packaging. Cereulide is produced by certain strains of Bacillus cereus bacteria and is not destroyed by typical heating methods, including boiling water used to prepare infant milk. If ingested, it can cause symptoms such as nausea, vomiting and abdominal cramps. While no illnesses have so far been linked to the recalled products, NestlÃĐ said it initiated the recall “out of an abundance of caution” under its strict safety protocols. Parents in the United Kingdom and Ireland have been provided with careline contact details to arrange refunds for affected products. #NestleRecall #InfantFormulaSafety #FoodSafetyAlert #CereulideRisk #SlimScan #GrowthStocks #CANSLIM
