The law firm Faruqi & Faruqi, LLP is investigating potential claims against Molina Healthcare, Inc. (NYSE: MOH) and is urging investors who purchased or acquired Molina securities between February 5, 2025 and July 23, 2025 to consider stepping forward as lead plaintiff. According to the firm, the deadline to move for lead‑plaintiff status in the federal securities class action is December 2, 2025.
The complaint alleges that Molina and its senior executives made false or misleading statements, or omitted material adverse facts, regarding the company’s medical cost‑trend assumptions, a disconnect between premium rates and medical cost trends, and the dependency of near‑term growth on under‑utilised behavioural‑health, pharmacy, and inpatient/outpatient services. As a result, Molina’s FY 2025 guidance was significantly overstated.
On July 7, 2025, Molina revealed Q2 results and announced a cut to its full‑year adjusted earnings per share guidance from “at least $24.50” down to a range of “$21.50–$22.50” citing medical‑cost pressures. Then on July 23, after market close, Molina further slashed FY 2025 guidance, projecting adjusted earnings no less than $19.00 per diluted share (a ~13.6 % cut at the midpoint) and full‑year GAAP net income of $912 million (down ~27 %) attributing results to the challenging cost‑trend environment.
Following the Q2 guidance revisions, Molina’s share price plunged—falling $6.97 (2.9%) on July 7 to close at $232.61, and plummeting another $32.03 (16.84%) to close at $158.22 on July 24 amid heavy trading volume.
Faruqi & Faruqi invites any investors, whistle‑blowers, former employees, shareholders or others with information related to Molina’s conduct to reach out confidentially. Disclosure of involvement in the class‑action does not affect one’s ability to share in any potential recovery.
