Kosmos Energy Ltd saw its share price climb nearly 5% in London trading following the company’s operational and financial update across key West African assets. The oil producer reported drilling and completing the J‑74 producer well in Ghana’s Jubilee field, which encountered about 50 metres of net pay and is expected to deliver more than 10,000 barrels of oil per day when it comes online soon. This additional production is forecast to lift overall Jubilee output to around 70,000 barrels per day. In regulatory developments, Kosmos confirmed that licence extensions for both the Jubilee and TEN fields have been approved, extending operations through 2040. The company also noted that ownership of the TEN floating production vessel should transfer to the project partnership by 2027, which is expected to help lower operating costs. On the financial front, Kosmos submitted a borrowing notice to draw $100 million under its Gulf of America term facility and issued a redemption notice for its remaining 2026 unsecured notes. Shares in London were trading up 3.25p, equivalent to a roughly 4.8% gain, at 71.5p. #KosmosEnergy #OilAndGas #GhanaOil #EnergyMarkets #SlimScan #GrowthStocks #CANSLIM
