Kodiak AI has revealed a new strategic partnership with global automotive supplier Bosch to scale up production of hardware and sensors for its selfâdriving truck systems as it seeks to expand beyond pilot programs into largeâscale commercial deployment. The deal, unveiled at the CES 2026 trade show in Las Vegas, will see Bosch supply Kodiak with automotiveâgrade components such as sensors and vehicle actuation systems, including steering technologies, to help build a productionâready autonomous platform.
Under the agreement, the two companies will develop a redundant autonomous platform that integrates hardware, firmware, and software needed to run Kodiakâs AIâpowered driver in both new trucks on factory lines and retrofitted vehicles. Financial terms of the collaboration were not disclosed.
Kodiak, which went public around three months ago, is among a small group of autonomous trucking firms to have operated driverless commercial trucks without onboard safety drivers â a milestone many competitors have yet to achieve. Bosch, the worldâs largest automotive supplier by revenue, has been strengthening its position in autonomous mobility by supplying key systems to carmakers and tech companies.
The partnership comes amid broader industry pressure on autonomous vehicle developers to demonstrate viable business models and transition from costly experimental phases to scalable commercial solutions.
