Kevlar® EXO™ — the next‑generation aramid fiber — is stepping up from soft armor to hard armor, with a new announcement that it will be developed for use in helmets and ballistic plate inserts. Instead of acting as a standalone protective layer (as in soft body armor), Kevlar EXO will now serve as a structural reinforcement within composite hard‑armor systems.
