Law firm Faruqi & Faruqi, LLP has issued a notice to shareholders of Inspire Medical Systems, Inc. (NYSE: INSP), reminding investors that the deadline to seek appointment as lead plaintiff in the ongoing securities classâaction lawsuit is January 5, 2026.
Under the proposed class, eligible investors are those who purchased or acquired Inspire Medical securities between AugustâŊ6,âŊ2024 and AugustâŊ4,âŊ2025.
The suit alleges that Inspire Medical â and certain executives â misled investors by making false or misleading statements, or by failing to disclose material facts, about the market demand for the companyâs new sleepâapnea device, Inspire V. According to the complaint, the company gave investors the impression that demand was strong and that the company was prepared for a smooth launch.
In reality, the launch suffered from major operational issues: many treatment centers had not completed required training, contracting, or onboarding; software updates needed for billing and insurance claims processing were not active until JulyâŊ1, 2025; and Medicare reimbursement lagged. As a result, centers couldnât bill for procedures until the updates went live â undermining early demand.
Furthermore, demand turned out to be weak, while excess inventory piled up. The company later slashed its 2025 earnings guidance by over 80%. Upon revealing the setbacks on AugustâŊ4,âŊ2025, Inspire Medicalâs stock price plunged more than 32% in a single day â wiping out roughly $1.2âŊbillion in market value.
Faruqi & Faruqi encourages affected investors â or anyone with relevant information (including whistleblowers, former employees, or other shareholders) â to contact the firm. Investors considering recovery may choose to serve as lead plaintiff or remain passive class members; neither decision affects the right to share in any potential recovery.
