Hawaiian Airlines has announced its Kahuʻewai Hawaiʻi Investment Plan, committing over $600 million across the next five years to modernize infrastructure, enhance the guest experience, and strengthen its community and environmental commitments across the Hawaiian Islands.
The plan focuses on renovating airport facilities—including lobbies, gates, and amenities at major hubs like Honolulu, Līhuʻe, Kahului, Kona, and Hilo—and will introduce a new 10,600‑square‑foot premium lounge at Honolulu’s Terminal 1.
Hawaiian will also roll out an updated app and website with advanced self‑service features, invest in technology for its workforce, and retrofit its widebody Airbus A330 aircraft with upgraded interiors, entertainment systems, and high‑speed Wi‑Fi.
Later this year, Hawaiʻi residents in the airline’s Huakaʻi loyalty program will receive bonus rewards and exclusive benefits on neighbor island flights.
The initiative includes expanded partnerships in education, workforce development, regenerative tourism programs, and sustainability projects such as locally produced sustainable aviation fuel and lower‑emission technologies.
According to Hawaiian Airlines, this investment reflects one of its largest commitments to infrastructure, products, and services in the state—reinforcing its role in supporting Hawaiʻi’s economy, culture, and environment.
