Generac Holdings Inc. (NYSE: GNRC), a leading global energy technology designer and manufacturer, announced it has acquired a new manufacturing facility in Sussex, Wisconsin to strengthen its Commercial & Industrial (C&I) manufacturing footprint. The Sussex site will support production of large‑scale backup power generators and energy solutions, helping the company meet rising demand from data centers and other key sectors such as healthcare, utilities, hospitality, wastewater, and heavy industry. This facility complements Generac’s existing operations in Beaver Dam and Oshkosh, Wisconsin, underscoring ongoing investments to scale capacity for C&I products amid year‑over‑year growth in this segment.
According to CEO Aaron Jagdfeld, global demand for data center capacity is expected to more than triple by 2030, driving unprecedented need for reliable power systems. The Sussex plant will enhance operational flexibility and support customer needs while positioning Generac for significant growth, with the potential to double C&I product sales over the next three to five years.
Generac plans to open the new facility in the fourth quarter of 2026, creating more than 100 new manufacturing jobs. The company also maintains a strong international C&I presence with nine facilities across Mexico, Europe, Asia, and South America.
