Taiwanâs Foxconn, the worldâs largest contract electronics manufacturer, announced on Monday that it achieved record fourthâquarter revenue, driven by booming demand for artificial intelligenceârelated products. The company reported that revenue for the OctoberâDecember quarter rose 22.07% compared with the same period a year earlier, reaching NT$2.6028âŊtrillion (aboutâŊUS$82.73âŊbillion).
Foxconn, formally known as Hon Hai Precision Industry, said the strong performance was largely supported by robust sales in its cloud and networking products division, especially AI servers, which are in high demand from major technology clients.
Key customers include Nvidia, for which Foxconn is a major server maker, and Apple, for which it is the top assembler of iPhones. The revenue exceeded market expectations and marked significant growth both yearâonâyear and quarterâonâquarter. Additionally, in December alone, Foxconn posted record monthly revenue, reflecting sustained momentum in the AI sector.
Despite a slight decline in its consumer electronics segment due to currency effects, the strong AIârelated performance underscores Foxconnâs pivotal role in the expanding global AI hardware supply chain.
