Diana Shipping Inc. (NYSE: DSX) has announced time charter agreements for two of its Ultramax dry‑bulk carriers — the m/v DSI Pollux and the m/v DSI Andromeda — via separate wholly‑owned subsidiaries. Under the new deal, DSIâ€ŊPollux will be chartered to Stone Shipping Ltd. at a gross rate of US$14,750 per day (minus 5â€Ŋ% commission), with the contract scheduled to start on December 8, 2025 and run until at least January 1, 2027 — potentially extending through February 28, 2027. Previously, Pollux had been chartered to Bunge SA at US$14,000/day (minus 5â€Ŋ%). Meanwhile, DSIâ€ŊAndromeda will go on charter with Western Bulk Carriers AS at US$14,600/day (minus 5â€Ŋ% commission), starting December 7, 2025 and running until at least April 1, 2027 — with a potential extension to May 31, 2027. The vessel had previously been chartered to Cargill Ocean Transportation (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. at about US$14,000/day. Combined, these two new charters are expected to generate roughly US$12.60 million in gross revenue over the minimum scheduled period. Currently, Diana Shipping operates a fleet of 36 dry‑bulk vessels, including various Ultramax, Panamax, Kamsarmax, Capesize and other vessel types.
