Comstock Inc. (NYSE: LODE) and its subsidiary Comstock Metals LLC have officially opened a new satellite facility in California’s Central Valley to serve as a key hub for the responsible handling of end‑of‑life solar panels. The facility will collect, prepare and aggregate decommissioned photovoltaic (PV) panels from solar developers, utilities, installers and asset owners across the western United States before transporting them to Comstock Metals’ fully permitted recycling center in Nevada.
Strategically located in the largest solar market in the country, the California site centralizes storage, logistics coordination and regulatory‑compliant preparation of retired panels, improving efficiency and reducing costs for customers. It supports a zero‑landfill approach to solar waste by optimizing interstate transport and enabling recycling of materials such as aluminum, silver, copper and gallium at the Nevada facility.
Comstock Metals’ leadership says the new hub enhances its ability to meet growing demand for environmentally responsible end‑of‑life solar solutions and reinforces its role in scaling a network capable of handling millions of panels as the industry matures.
