
Coastal Bend LNG Appoints KBR and Técnicas Reunidas for FEED and EPC of Texas LNG Export Facility

Coastal Bend LNG has selected **KBR, Inc.** and **Técnicas Reunidas** to carry out front-end engineering and design (FEED) for its planned **liquefied natural gas (LNG) liquefaction and export terminal** on the **Texas Gulf Coast**. Upon a positive final investment decision (FID), the two engineering firms will also move forward with the **engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC)** phase of the project.
The FEED scope will cover multiple large‑scale liquefaction trains using ConocoPhillips’ Optimized Cascade® Process (OCP) technology, aligning with Coastal Bend LNG’s strategy to produce cost‑competitive LNG while reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
Nick Flores, CEO of Coastal Bend LNG, highlighted the partners’ extensive expertise in LNG and industrial decarbonization, noting that the collaboration with KBR, Técnicas Reunidas, and ConocoPhillips will help optimize facility efficiency and economic performance while minimizing carbon intensity.
Executives from both KBR and Técnicas Reunidas emphasized their roles in advancing efficient and scalable LNG infrastructure to meet global energy demand and support low‑carbon energy production goals.
