At CES 2026 in Las Vegas, Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD) and its ecosystem partners presented a comprehensive vision to make artificial intelligence ubiquitous across industries and devices. AMD Chair and CEO Dr. Lisa Su emphasized that AI adoption is accelerating global compute capacity toward “yotta‑scale” levels — more than 10 yottaflops within five years — and requires a flexible, high‑performance infrastructure foundation.
The keynote showcased AMD’s latest technologies, including the early look at its “Helios” rack‑scale platform delivering up to 3 AI exaflops using AMD Instinct MI455X accelerators, AMD EPYC “Venice” CPUs, and high‑speed networking. AMD also introduced the full Instinct MI400 Series and previewed next‑generation MI500 Series GPUs slated for 2027.
On the client side, new AMD Ryzen AI 400 and Ryzen AI PRO 400 Series platforms with 60 TOPS NPUs were revealed, with systems expected to ship in January 2026, alongside expanded Ryzen AI Max+ and Ryzen AI Embedded offerings for edge AI applications. Developers will gain access to the Ryzen AI Halo platform in Q2 2026.
AMD also highlighted collaborations with partners such as OpenAI, World Labs, and AstraZeneca showing real‑world AI use cases, and announced a $150 million initiative to bring AI education to more classrooms and communities.
